The 1980's and the internet

In the 1980's computers began to become more popular and more and more people owned a computer in their house. Privately owned computers for business were becoming very popular especially with new models such as the commadore 64 and apple's Lisa computer which was the first personal computer with a graphical interface. This was one of the first of many computer advancements that took place in the 1980's.
Perhaps the greatest computer invention of the '80's was the creation of the modern internet. The world wide web began to take shape in the early 1980's. Although it would not be finished until the early '90's, the work in the '80's set the foundation for the World Wide Web. The creation of the internet as well as the advancements in technology during the 1980's brought the computer industry to the modern age of computing.
